The UK’s original, biggest and most exciting lantern festival, is returning to Longleat this November! This year, The Festival of Light promises to be even more extraordinary than ever as you step into The Wondrous Worlds of Roald Dahl.
Embark on a magical journey and meet all of your favourite characters from the Roald Dahl stories. Each lantern scene will bring key moments from the iconic books to life, from The BFG, to Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, to Matilda, The Twits and Fantastic Mr Fox.
Marvel at the 5-metre-tall BFG and walk through Wonka’s famous factory gates (just make sure you don’t fall into the chocolate river like Augustus Gloop!) Be amazed by James’ Giant Peach, find yourself awestruck by George’s Marvellous Medicine and be sure not to miss Matilda and Miss Honey!
There will be hundreds of lanterns, set in over 30 acres of splendid ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped grounds. Prepare to be amazed as the winter sun sets and Longleat transforms into a breath-taking illuminated world.
